The Savannah opportunity

A more connected Savannah starts here.

One city experience. A stronger connection to the visitor and local economy.

Savannah In My Pocket brings the city’s places, businesses, experiences, and everyday happenings into one intelligent consumer app.

Visitors gain a better way to discover and experience Savannah. Residents gain a more useful connection to what’s happening around them. Participating businesses gain new opportunities to reach customers and take part in local commerce.

Behind that experience, Cities In My Pocket provides the foundation for first-party destination intelligence, business engagement, and AI-assisted workflows.

The opportunity is to bring these capabilities together in Savannah, beginning with the visitor experience and local business community.

A proposal for discussion. The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Visit Savannah and the City of Savannah have not approved, endorsed, funded or agreed to it.

The consumer experience

An app people have a reason to use.

A connected platform only creates value if people want to participate. Savannah In My Pocket is designed around everyday consumer usefulness.

Visitors discover attractions, restaurants, shops, and experiences. Residents find what’s happening, follow local businesses, and plan their weekends. People save places, explore neighborhoods, organize plans, and engage with local offerings.

The consumer experience is the foundation of the ecosystem.

The business opportunity

Connect more people to Savannah businesses.

The same experience that helps people discover Savannah can help participating businesses become easier to find.

A restaurant can share an eligible special.

A boutique can showcase products.

A tour operator can present experiences.

A local business can maintain its profile and understand relevant engagement.

Business IQ provides the operational interface supporting that participation. As integrated commerce expands, the connection between discovery and eligible transactions becomes more direct.

The Visit Savannah opportunity

A direct connection to the visitor experience.

Traditional destination marketing is designed to attract visitors and inspire travel. Savannah In My Pocket can complement that work by giving visitors an ongoing experience for discovering and planning within the destination.

As visitors interact with the platform, DMO IQ can provide relevant, aggregated first-party signals. The goal is to help destination teams better understand visitor interests, support participating businesses, and inform future decisions.

The Chamber opportunity

A new way to support participating member businesses.

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce has relationships with businesses across the community. A partnership could help introduce eligible members to the platform, encourage participation, and connect business-support initiatives to the consumer experience.

The opportunity is not simply another listing benefit. It’s a connected channel for discovery, engagement, and potentially more local commerce.

Every screen on this site reads one Savannah data pack: sourced places, neighborhoods and photos, illustrative merchants, and one synthetic activity model. The same engine can load another city’s pack the day it exists. Today only Savannah’s does. No other city has bought, licensed or launched it.

The switcher reads any bundle at data/<city>.bundle.json that follows the Savannah schema. Partnerships described on this site are proposals; no organization has agreed to or endorsed them.

Illustrative future workflow

Illustrative

From an opportunity in the data to activity across the city.

  1. Identify an opportunity.

Available destination intelligence suggests an underexplored area or business category may benefit from additional attention.

  2. Develop a response.

AI assists the destination or Chamber team with preparing a proposed initiative.

  3. Include businesses.

Participating businesses are invited to contribute eligible products, experiences, or offers.

  4. Authorize the campaign.

Appropriate staff review content, costs, participation, and relevant permissions.

  5. Reach consumers.

Supported app channels introduce the approved initiative to relevant visitors or residents.

  6. Measure what follows.

The team evaluates available engagement and, where integrated commerce is enabled, eligible transaction measures.

A connected platform can bring the experience, participating businesses, intelligence, and decisions closer together.

Why the connection matters

The experience brings people in. The ecosystem makes it more valuable.

A city experience becomes more useful when more of Savannah’s places, businesses, and events are represented. Business participation creates more reasons to discover and return. As people engage with the platform, eligible first-party information can help participating organizations make better-informed decisions.

The opportunity isn’t simply to launch another tourism app or purchase another analytics dashboard.

It’s to connect the experience people use with the businesses and organizations working to make Savannah stronger.
