Trust and privacy

Your city experience should respect your privacy.

Savannah In My Pocket is designed to help people enjoy their city while keeping clear boundaries around personal information and institutional analytics. This page explains those boundaries in plain words. The legal documents are linked at the end.

Your location, your choice

The app asks for approximate location only when you use in-city features such as nearby suggestions and the Explore map, and only if you grant permission. Turn it off anytime in your device settings and the app falls back to city-wide results.

Institutional location figures use completed two-hour windows that ended at least an hour ago, as grouped totals.

What businesses see

A business sees grouped engagement for its own listing: views, saves, follows, offer interactions and busy hours. Day-by-day detail is hidden when a single day could point to one visitor.

Direct transaction information is different: if you buy from a business through the app once checkout is enabled, that business sees your order the way any shop does, so it can fulfil it. That is kept separate from anonymous engagement analytics.

What destination and municipal teams see

Grouped reporting only. Groups under 3 people are hidden, small groups are suppressed rather than estimated, and figures use completed reporting periods. No destination or city team can see an individual user, a route, or a home address.

Final suppression thresholds follow legal review, and the methodology is stated on every report page.

What the numbers mean

Every figure is labeled for what it is. The platform distinguishes:

Views
are not visits.
RSVPs
are not attendance.
Trip plans
are not confirmed arrivals.
Self-reported spending
is not verified transactions.
Platform participants
are not the whole city population.

AI and human approval

Savvy, Rex, Pip and Archer are AI assistants. They prepare suggestions, drafts and summaries. They do not book, send, post, publish or charge anything without a person tapping yes. The same rule applies to business and institutional workflows: AI prepares, people approve.
