For Savannah

Good for Savannah, not just its visitors

Savannah In My Pocket is built to send visitors deeper into the city — to more neighborhoods, more local businesses, and more of the history and culture that make Savannah worth the trip.

Local Mode

See your own city the way visitors do.

Visitors get a city full of things to do. Locals get used to it. Local Mode turns Savannah In My Pocket toward the people who live here. It comes with the app at launch.

What we’re building for Savannah

These are our goals, and the parts of the app that serve them today. We’ll share results when we have real ones to share.

Local

Keep visitor spending local

The app points visitors to Savannah’s own restaurants, bars, shops and experiences.

Neighborhoods

Spread visitors across the city

The map shows what’s around a visitor wherever they are in the city, not just the famous few blocks. Our goal: more neighborhoods sharing the foot traffic.

Culture

Share Savannah’s culture

Walking tours and what’s happening around town sit right beside the big attractions, so visitors meet the Savannah that locals know.

Welcome

Make every visitor feel at home

The free shuttle and ferry routes, emergency numbers, pharmacies and restrooms — the basics a visitor needs, in one place.

A stronger visitor economy

Our aim is simple: help visitors find more to do, so they stay longer — and more of what they spend lands with the people who make Savannah what it is.

In 2025, visitors to Savannah and Chatham County generated about $506 million in state and local taxes, the equivalent of about $4,199 for every Chatham County household.2

  • Businesses of every size can put themselves in front of visitors: their own page, a pin on the map and an Add to itinerary button.
  • Visitors plan the whole trip in one app — save favorites, build an itinerary, organize the days.
  • Right now points visitors to places open near them, wherever they’re standing, not just the famous few blocks.

For tourism organizations

DMO IQ: what visitors do once they’re here

The same platform runs DMO IQ, a separate product for destination marketing organizations. It is built to show them what visitors do after they arrive, counted only from visitors who opt in through the app, with the method shown beside every figure.

  • Free to destination organizations. No fee, not at the start, not later.
  • No rate, average or trend until at least 25 trips support it.
  • Never sells visitor data: not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
